The fruit is medium sized, slightly flat, blushed a deep pinkish red over yellow. The flesh is yellowish, coarse grained, and crisply breaking. The flavor is superior; it is honeyed and aromatic with notes of caramel. Crimson Crisp has a long harvest season about a month and it holds well to the tree. Resistant to apple scab. It is an outstanding dessert apple that stores well.
