University of Minnesota, 1946. Originated in 1946 as an open-pollinated seedling of 'Malinda'. Pleasant nut-like flavor. Large crabapple (2" diameter). Outstanding flavor and good texture for fresh eating. Medium storage life. This tree is annually productive with heavy crops and is very cold hardy down to Zone 3.
